Benissa is a resort in the north of Alicante between Calpa and Morayra. Among them there is an old market, some watch-towers, a monastery of the 17th century. The atmosphere of calmness and relaxation is felt in Benissa. It is possible to say that there are many resorts in Costa Blanca which are very much alike, but each has its unique charm. The charm of Benissa is not only architecture but its local cuisine as well. The most favorite sea food in Benissa is considered to be octopus. There are a lot of dishes made of octopus in the restaurants of Benissa, and everybody can find something to his or her taste.
