Mundomar park is situated near Benidorm in the centre of Alicante. Tourists can find interesting side-shows there and at the same time watch living nature. Mundomar is a wonderful place for family holidays but it has to compete with other parks of attractions situated in Valencia. Besides Mundomar a lot of other parks are located in the vicinity of Benidorm, the most famous among them are Terra Mitica, Terra Natura and Agua Natura, Agualandia with lots of water entertainments.
But Mundomar is still different if to compare it with, for example, Terra Natura. The difference is in the kinds of animals. The animals of Terra Natura are mostly land animals and the inhabitants of Mundomar are mostly sea mammals and birds. The most interesting place in the park is a dolphinarium. Some of the dolphins taking part in entertaining performances were born in Mundomar. The centre of Mundomar is considered to be Galeon, which is a great pavilion in the form of the old Spanish ship. Visitors can watch the dolphins there in their usual environment both from above and from the depth through the portholes.
There is a special territory for children in Mundomar, that is the park of attractions and side-shows, where they can roll down hills, climb vertical walls, run along rope-bridges and find a lot of nice places to play the games of pirates and Indians. The park administration draws your attention to the fact that all attractions and side-shows are safe for children. Children are out of danger and out of harm’s way in Mundomar.
Mundomar can offer you not only entertainments. There are some excursions there which help young tourists to enjoy nature and teach them to become more nature-friendly. During the excursion the tourists learn about the measures taken to keep ecological balance in the park and about the evolution of the sea animals there. The Mundomar park is a member of the European Assosiation of Sea Mammals.
