The parish church of Sant Gil Abad was built towards the end of the 18th century in the Baroque style with Aragonese influences. It has three naves, a transept and a dome decorated with frescoes. The building therefore combines architectural design with visible artistic details.

The upper part of the northeast tower and part of the north wing, including its garden-facing façade, no longer survive.

Benifairó de les Valls holds an annual patron-saint festival around the first Sunday in September in honour of the Mare de Déu del Bon Succés and Sant Gil Abad. The celebrations include the Baixada of the Mare de Déu del Bon Succés from the hermitage to the church, followed by the Pujada in the opposite direction. Traditional dances, dolçaines, tabalets and fireworks accompany these proceedings.

El Llavaner is a historic public washhouse and a testament to the community work and the social and cultural life of Benifairó de les Valls in earlier times. The town’s traditional agriculture included the cultivation of cereals, grapevines and olive trees, as well as the production of flour and oil in the mills.
