Xinorlet between trails, cuisine and festivals

Xinorlet combines a hiking trail with local cuisine and festive traditions. The officially approved short-distance hiking trail PRV-107 “Ruta del Xirivell” is connected with Xinorlet. The circular route, the dishes at Casa Reme and the third weekend in August each highlight different aspects of Xinorlet.

The Ruta del Xirivell

The PR-CV 107 “Ruta del Xirivell” is a circular route. It starts and ends at La Escuela, today’s Centro de Convivencia. This gives the route a clearly defined outline for day planning: La Escuela is both the starting point and the return point.

The PR-CV 107 passes through scrubland with gentle slopes and several ravines. Along the way, it climbs from around 550 metres to 705 metres at Monte del Llebrer. Scrubland, gentle slopes and several ravines shape the landscape along the route. When planning the hike, the circular course and the ascent to Monte del Llebrer can be taken into account together.

Local cuisine in Xinorlet

The Xinorlet Casa Reme restaurant is located in the centre of El Xinorlet. Its offerings include rustic, homemade Mediterranean cuisine. Specialities at Xinorlet Casa Reme include gazpacho manchego, roast suckling pig and rabbit paella with snails.

Casa Elías in Xinorlet is a place to go for arroz serrano. Casa Reme and Casa Elías therefore represent two different culinary destinations within Xinorlet.

Festivals and community traditions

The local festivals of Xinorlet take place on the third weekend in August. The traditional festivals include religious and social activities. Anyone marking the third weekend in August for a stay will have the date of the local festivals in their calendar.
