Accommodation in Geldo
Geldo combines historic spaces, Baroque sacred art, lively festivals and the Palancia River to create a diverse townscape. Particularly interesting is the Palacio de los Duques de Medinaceli: the building dates from the 15th century, and the Palacio houses the Museo Ramón Rubio. Geldo was the first municipality in the province of Castellón to signpost this route.

Palace and Baroque Art
The historic ensemble of the Palacio de los Duques de Medinaceli includes three museum rooms. One is dedicated to an exhibition about Ramón Rubio, another is located in the former palace chapel and hosts temporary exhibitions, while a third room is used for audiovisual screenings. If you are planning a guided visit, tours are offered on Saturdays and Sundays at 12:00 noon. Advance booking is required, and must be made at least two working days in advance.
A second cultural highlight is the Iglesia Parroquial de la Misericordia. Built in the 17th century, this Baroque church features sgraffito covering the entire dome of the presbytery. It also preserves a large wood carving known as Cristo de la Luz. The palace and the church therefore offer different ways of accessing Geldo's history: historic spaces and museum use in one case, and Baroque architecture, ornamental design and religious art in the other.
Festivals between Streets, Squares and the Screen
Geldo is also shaped by cultural events held repeatedly. Titirigeldo is a children's festival that includes circus performances, musical parades, wooden games, storytelling and concerts in the town's streets and squares.
ImaginArte Geldo adds an open-air mural festival with no fixed style. The festival has created an open-air museum in Geldo featuring artworks in public spaces. Film is another part of cultural life: Documentalia is a documentary film festival held at the Palacio de los Duques de Medinaceli. Festival MICE is an international exhibition of educational films based in Geldo. Geldo y Acción! is a short film festival whose films are shot in Geldo.
A gastronomy, crafts and trade fair is held in Geldo in the Plaza de D. Antonio Férriz Díaz.
The Palancia and Practical Information
The Palancia River runs through the municipality of Geldo. On its banks lies the Fuente de San Gil, which has picnic areas and sports equipment for outdoor exercise. This spot combines proximity to the river with opportunities to take a break and exercise outdoors.
The main road connections to Geldo are the Autovía Mudéjar A-23 and National Road 234, which connects Sagunto with Burgos. In addition, bus routes connect Geldo with Segorbe, Sagunto and Valencia.
