Albaida appeals to several interests at once: here, you can combine living traditions, significant buildings and walks through a multifaceted townscape. Since the 13th century, Albaida’s bells have been rung by hand every day. Guided tours of the 17th-century bell tower are also offered. Palaces, Puppets and Religious Art
One cultural focal point is the Palau dels Milà i Aragó. It was built in the 15th century on the foundations of older walls and has three towers. Inside the palace is the Museo Internacional de Títeres de Albaida. Its collection includes puppets and marionettes from all continents, broadening the perspective from local architecture to the international world of puppet theater.
The Iglesia Arciprestal de la Asunción de la Mare de Déu is also one of the important cultural attractions. It was built between 1592 and 1621 and houses religious works by José Segrelles. At the Casa Museo José Segrelles, the paintings hang in the same places and in the same arrangement in which the artist kept them. This allows visitors to discover architectural history, sacred art and the work of an individual artist at different stops.

On Foot through the Old Town and Countryside
Albaida’s old town preserves four gates from the former medieval city wall. On a walk through Albaida, you can also discover up to seven historic fountains. Publicly displayed ceramics line the route and create the impression of an open-air museum. Another insight into the town can be gained at the Casa Museo José Segrelles, where the preserved arrangement of the paintings defines the personal character of this museum.
For longer routes, La Séquia del Port is the main attraction. The historic, cultural and ethnographic hiking trail begins at Port d'Albaida. It includes Islamic irrigation channels, orchards and shaded areas with high biodiversity. In this way, Albaida offers not only built heritage but also a clear connection to water, agriculture and the landscape. Albaida also has the “Vía Ferrata Iniciación - Medio” via ferrata route for beginners to intermediate-level climbers.
