Miramar between beach, huerta and village life

Miramar combines the municipality’s main tourist attraction with routes through the huerta, historic townscapes, regional cuisine and a varied programme of leisure activities. Beach and wide-ranging views

Miramar Beach is approximately 50 m wide, 1.3 km long and consists of fine sand. From the Passeig Marítim on Playa de Miramar, right on the beachfront, you can see the Mediterranean to the east, Montgó to the south, the Port of Gandia and Cullera Lighthouse to the north, and the mountains of La Safor and the fertile orange groves at their foot to the west.

Routes for walks and cycle rides

The almost 3,000 m-long Sendero Azul Camí Sequia Mare is a circular route that begins at the tourist office on the beach. It has been adapted for people with reduced mobility and features shaded rest areas, signposts and several information panels. The Sender de la Séquia Mare also makes it possible to observe Miramar’s typical huerta landscape. Miramar can be reached by bicycle via a network of cycle paths and rural roads connecting the municipality with Gandia, Daimús, Guardamar de la Safor, Bellreguard, Piles, Alqueria de la Comtessa and Oliva.

Outdoor leisure

Miramar’s pump track is open 24 hours a day, every day of the year. It opened in 2025 as a new skate track at the northern entrance to the industrial estate; benches and picnic tables are also available there. Parc del Riuet has sports courts and a large stage for concerts and live music. The Piscina Municipal is a 1,500 m² outdoor semi-Olympic sports facility at Esportiu El Molí.

The Parc dels Somnis recreational area has five barbecue facilities and five picnic tables for enjoying time outdoors. The site includes a children’s playground with wooden play equipment, swings, a slide and a zip line. A bathing facility in Miramar enables people with reduced mobility to swim safely with assistance from municipal staff, an amphibious wheelchair and water crutches.

Historic Miramar and local events

The Iglesia de San Andrés is an 18th-century Baroque building constructed over the original church dating from 1535. The historic, irregularly laid-out street network includes Iglesia, Trapig and Raconet squares, as well as Mayor and Abadía streets. Parc de Llevant is one of Miramar’s attractions and features a sundial.

The Jornades Gastronòmiques de Miramar take place every March and showcase polp farcit and coca borratxa. Around 30 November, the Fira de Sant Andreu is held for the municipality’s patron saint’s festival. The three-day Fira includes a food fair and theatrical tours. The municipality’s leisure programme also includes sports activities, evening musical performances, exhibitions, traditional markets and open-air cinema.
