Family Holidays in Valencia

There are practically ideal conditions for family holidays in Valencia. Dads, moms and their kids can find everything at their disposal in the resorts of the three provinces: cheap and cosy hotels, wonderful beaches, interesting excursions to natural parks and reservations and, certainly, entertaining parks, the best of which, the so-called “Kings of the Entertainment” are Terra Mitica in the province of Alicante and the City of Science and Arts in Valencia.

Most of the families come to Valencia to spend summer holidays there. The most popular resort is considered to be Benidorm in Costa Blanca. The popularity of Benidorm is obvious because there are 4 entertaining parks there: very famous Terra Mitica, the great aquapark Aqualandia and less famous Mundomar and Terra Natura. Besides there are lots of hotels in Benidorm which can be called “familly friendly”. For example, the all-inclusive hotel “Magic Villa”, which is situated only 150 m away from the main beach Playa de Levante, and even cheaper but also comfortable hotels “Princess”, “Calipso” and “Poseidon”.

Besides Benidorm there are other traditionally well-known resorts of Costa Blanca which are considered to be places for family holidays, for example, a small town Aldir, then Xavea with its famous natural park Montgo, a picturesque bay of Morayra, Calpe with its symbolic mountain Efaj and Elje with its famous palm-trees.

Costa Azahar is popular as family holiday place mostly because of its famous aquapark called Aquarama in Benicasim. But be careful, dear parents! There is a great variety of side-shows in Aquarama and your beloved kids, finding themselves there, would wish to stay in that wonderful place for a very long time! And take some warm clothes with you because the winters in Costa Azahar are mild but you’d better take care of them!

The other resort of Costa Azahar is well-known Peniscola. Mostly boys adore this place greatly thanks to its famous Knights’ Castle on the peninsula which is considered to be one of the symbols of “the coast of orange blossoms”.

Certainly, it would be an unforgivable mistake to visit Valencia with children and not to see the famous City of Science and Arts in its capital. It is like an excursion to the future, which would be interesting for both children and grown-ups. You would have an opportunity to see the underwater world in Oceanarium, to watch dolphins’ show and to examine the exhibits of the Museum of Science, the main motto of which is : “Touch everything! It is forbidden not to touch!”
