Natural beaches at Cabo Roig

Cala Capitán is a natural beach with golden sand. It is 312 metres long and covers an area of 15,203.65 square metres. This provides a clearly defined coastal stretch for planning your day, while its natural character remains a defining feature.

La Caleta is a natural beach at the southern end of Cabo Roig. At 387 metres long and covering an area of more than 16,000 square metres, it is larger than Cala Capitán. Cabo Roig protects La Caleta with its cliffs and ensures very calm waters there. The beach is accessible to people with disabilities and offers public toilets, foot showers, a beach bar, an area for sports games, parasols and sun loungers, as well as a shaded area. During the summer season, lifeguard and bathing supervision services are available. The facilities on site also include a parking space for people with functional disabilities.

Sendero Azul between coves and coast

The Sendero Azul Cabo Roig is 2.46 kilometres long, takes about one hour and is considered easy. It runs parallel to the coast between Cala Capitán and La Caleta and includes five viewpoints. Its manageable length and approximate duration make it an easy-to-assess option for incorporating exercise and coastal scenery into your daily schedule.

Plants, rocks and Posidonia

On the land section of the Sendero Azul Cabo Roig, the protected shrub Jarilla Cabeza de Gato (Helianthemum caput-felis) occurs in large numbers. The path also runs past cliffs and beaches with rock formations of significant geological interest. From the Sendero Azul Cabo Roig, the meadows of Posidonia oceanica can be seen in the water. They form underwater forests that serve as a refuge and source of food for aquatic animals. For those interested in nature, the focus here is therefore not only on the coastline, but also on vegetation, rock and underwater ecology.

Tower and Marina Cabo Roig

The Torre de Cabo Roig is a 16th-century military watchtower fortress and is classified as a Bien de Interés Cultural. It provides Cabo Roig with a clear historical accent. Marina Cabo Roig is a small harbour facility protected by Cabo Roig, with a small social club. The marina has parking, taxis, a ramp, a crane, toilets and showers.
